Beautiful rosary made of gold-plated silver 800 (stamped and guaranteed) with a securely functioning lobster clasp made of gold-plated sterling silver 925 (stamped and guaranteed). The rosary, also known as a prayer chain, consists of a finely worked cross pendant with the representation of Jesus Christ and five groups of ten small beads (so-called settings) each, which are separated from each other by isolated standing beads. The number and grouping of the balls refer to the different rosary prayers and their order. The chain and pendant are also connected by a small heart, which is decorated on the front and back with the initials "vw".
Originally considered a devotional object, the rosary today often has a decorative character. It was created around 1900 and can be freely combined to create an individual style.
