Description
Beautiful traditional costume brooch, made of silver 800 (stamped and guaranteed) and decorated with a wonderfully polished carnelian in warm brown-orange. The historical jewel is worked in the form of a curved cartouche, which is decorated with a frame of ornamental balls and wonderful rose petal motifs. In the centre, a large oval carnelian in flat cabochon cut sets an impressive accent. At the back there is a simple needling with a C-hook.
The beautiful brooch was made around 1920 in Munich. In her naive design she is a charming example of everyday jewellery at the beginning of the 20th century and complements traditional costume and dirndl in an individual way.
Dimensions of the brooch: 5,9 x 3,3 cm.
Carnelian dimensions: approx. 10.0 x 20.0 mm.
