Description
Rare brooch from Theodor Fahrner, made of silver 935 (stamped and guaranteed). The piece of jewellery is worked in form of a sitting peacock, which is covered with sparkling marcasites. In its clutches the pretty bird holds a distinctive pearl with a fine iridescent lustre. On the back the historical brooch has a well functioning needling with C-hook.
The brooch was created around 1930 and is a wonderful collector's item. It comes from the production of Theodor Fahrner, who is regarded as one of the pioneers of modern jewellery making and is known for his extraordinary and at the same time very wearable designs.
Dimensions of the brooch: 2,2 x 5,8 cm.
Diameter of the cultured pearl: approx. 7.0 mm.
Weight: 5.9 grams.
