How to combine your antique bracelet
An antique bracelet is a real combination talent: it can be perfectly combined with a variety of other antique jewellery pieces. It can either be beautifully coordinated with historically matching jewellery from the same era, but you can also play with contrasting styles and create your very own ensembles. For example, combine your bracelet with an antique brooch or choose the corresponding antique earrings.
Antique rings and antique necklaces can also be put together to create appealing jewellery duos that contrast beautifully with our modern jewellery.
Antique bracelets in gold and silver
Antique bracelets made from gold have always been very popular due to their value. With its warm golden lustre, the precious metal is a timeless material that stands for high quality and exclusivity. Whether purist or in combination with diamonds, coloured gemstones or pearls, an antique gold bracelet is a worthwhile investment that you can also pass on to your descendants.
An antique bracelet made of silver is a cheaper yet high-quality alternative to gold.
Tasteful antique bracelets with gemstones
Bracelets with coloured gemstones create bold or subtle colour accents, depending on taste, which can perfectly complement an individual look. Bracelet creations with diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds and aquamarines came into fashion again and again in every era and were considered a fixed component of a classic women's wardrobe.
Depending on the period, bracelets with coloured stones were sometimes strictly structured, sometimes asymmetrically playful and were worn either as a single precious jewel or en masse on both wrists.
Tears of the gods - bracelets made from pearls
Pearls have long been a symbol of purity, wisdom and beauty and have therefore naturally been used in jewellery. Their mostly full-round shape makes them ideal for multi-row designs, which nestle softly around the wearer's wrist. Particularly appealing and elegant pieces of jewellery are also created by combining pearls with coloured gemstones and diamonds.
Antique bracelets made from coral
Coral has seen many heydays over the centuries and was highly valued, for example, during the Biedermeier period. Precious metals were in short supply after the Napoleonic Wars, which is why other materials such as coral, turquoise and garnet came to the fore and were used to create romantic pieces of jewellery.
Coral was very easy to work with due to its material properties and was found in the form of spheres, boutons, cabochons and even cameos in the bracelets of past eras. Cut into round spheres, the red jewel was just as suitable as the pearl for making multi-row antique bracelets.
