Description
Rare Art Nouveau pendant with chain, both in yellow gold 585 / 14 ct (both parts stamped and guaranteed) with exquisite plique à jour or window enamel decoration.
The shape of this wonderful pendant is modelled on a ginkgo leaf and its curved lines and organic design are exemplary of Art Nouveau jewellery. The yellow gold frame comprises polychrome, translucent enamel in soft shades of pink and green, which has been designed without any bonding so that the light can shine through as skilfully as through a window.
A fine diamond of ca. 0.06 carat (I-J, SI1-SI2) and a small baroque pearl add pretty accents.
The filigree piece of jewellery sits on a later, stylistically matching anchor chain made of yellow gold 585 / 14 ct (stamped and guaranteed) with a spring ring clasp.
This exceptionally beautiful pendant was created around 1900 and is a rare, particularly well-preserved piece of jewellery with historical charm. A must-have for every antique jewellery lover!
