Description
Large historical Biedermeier choker necklace with twelve rows of pea chains, crafted from silver and foam gold (tested and guaranteed).
The twelve silver pea chains end in an opulent decorative clasp made of foam gold in a cartouche shape typical of the period. Shell and flower motifs together with beadwork decoration and black enamelled accents reflect the characteristic design language of the Biedermeier period in the mid-19th century. At the centre of the design is a blossom made of seed pearls and a red ornamental stone, accentuated by a spiral Frame.
The detailed clasp can be opened on both sides.
The richly decorated choker necklace was created around 1860 and comes from Bavaria. It is an authentic and absolutely classic accessory for traditional costume, which can be combined very well thanks to its minimalist colour scheme.
Length of the necklace (shortest strand): ca. 35.5 cm.
Dimensions of the decorative clasp: 4.5 x 4.5 cm.
Weight: 78.8 grams.
