2 Jett drops, ca. 1.7 x 0.6 cm.
Description
Delicate historical earrings made of jett, crafted from gold-plated silver (tested and guaranteed).
The simple earrings made of gold-plated silver are each adorned with a rhombus-shaped, deep black jett and a free-swinging drop, also made of jett.
Jett, also known as gagat, is a fossil wood and was admired in jewelry art for centuries until its heyday in the 19th century. Its velvety matt surface has a particularly distinguished and elegant appearance and led to its versatile use in jewelry design, especially during the reign of Queen Victoria, who preferred to wear mourning jewelry made of jett after the early death of her husband Prince Albert.
The simple earrings were created around 1890 and are timelessly elegant.
Dimensions of the earrings: 3.6 x 0.8 cm.
Dimensions of the rhombus-shaped Jett elements: ca. 8.7 x 8.7 mm.
Dimensions of the Jett drops: ca. 1.7 x 0.6 cm.
Total weight: 3.4 grams.

You will receive the earrings lovingly packaged in one of our high-quality cases and with a certificate of authenticity.
