Description
Historic Austrian earrings with sapphires and diamond roses, crafted from red gold 585 / 14 ct (stamped and guaranteed).
The charming earrings are set with sturdy hinged prongs in red gold, typical of the period, and are each set with a beautiful blue oval sapphire cabochon weighing ca. 0.8 carats in total. In addition, two small diamond roses totalling 0.03 carats set a sparkling accent above the sapphires.
The earrings were created around 1905 and were made by jeweller Friedrich Richter from Salzburg. They are still in their pretty old original case.
Dimensions of the earrings (incl. prong): 1.5 x 0.5 cm.
Dimensions of the sapphire cabochons: ca. 5.8 x 4.0 mm, totalling ca. 1.6 ct.
Diameter of the diamond roses: ca. 1.2 mm, in total ca. 0.03 ct.
Total weight: 2.1 grams.
Condition: Very nice historical condition, freshly cleaned, see photos.
