Description
Elegant historical bar brooch with diamonds, crafted from platinum and yellow gold 585 / 14 ct (stamped and guaranteed).
The diamond-set brooch has a beautiful, sparkling old-cut diamond in the centre, which appears to be floating almost freely in a circle of diamond roses. It is flanked by two smaller old-cut diamonds, which sit in angular settings and emphasise the elegant geometric design of the brooch. Together, the three old-cut diamonds are ca. 0.34 carats and are in the beautiful quality range (G- H, VS2 -SI1). The old-cut diamonds are framed and complemented by a further 40 sparkling diamond roses, which together weigh ca. 0.7 carats.
A pin on the back with a safety slide ensures a secure hold.
This beautiful, glamorous piece of jewellery was created in Hamburg around 1910 and reflects the zeitgeist of the early years of the last century; the years around 1900 were characterised by a spirit of optimism and joie de vivre, which also manifested itself in the jewellery. Elegant, splendidly trimmed designs in timeless shapes were particularly popular.
