Description
Rare antique Viennese coral pendant with chain, set with diamonds and crafted from yellow gold 585 / 14 ct (chain stamped, Austrian hallmark, slightly chipped, all tested and guaranteed).
An impressively large, oval coral bouton made from Italian Mediterranean coral is attached to a suspension of interlocking arches, which are fully set with 36 sparkling diamond roses of ca. 0.4 carats. The spectacular coral bouton is characterised above all by its impressive size, beautiful salmon red colour and fine grain.
The matching gold chain (585/000) has a practical pull mechanism that allows it to be worn in different lengths. It is fastened with a simple spring ring.
The pendant with chain was created in Vienna around 1900 and comes from an Austrian aristocratic family, from whom we were able to purchase it. Its coral size and glamorous yet timeless design are typical of the period in which it was created. Both make the pendant an absolutely sought-after and rare piece of jewellery and a highlight for antique jewellery lovers.
The pendant is part of a demi-parure with matching brooch and earrings, which are available under the item numbers 202512952 and 202512954.
