12 rose-cut diamonds, ca. 1.4 mm in diameter, totalling ca. 0.1 ct.
Description
Rare, large historical Viennese coral brooch with diamonds, crafted from yellow gold 585 / 14 ct (stamped with Austrian official hallmarks, tested and guaranteed).
Three imposing large coral boutons made from Italian Mediterranean coral in a beautiful salmon red colour are arranged in a V-shape. Between them are distinctive arches of gold with a total of 14 diamond roses, which form a harmonious and unifying element between the exceptionally large corals.
The rose-cut diamonds have a total stone weight of ca. 0.1 carat and provide subtle sparkle and shine.
A pin on the back with a C-hook makes it easy to put on and take off. The brooch can be removed using an ingenious mechanism so that the piece of jewellery can also be hung on a chain using two attached hooks.
This beautiful antique brooch was made in Vienna around 1900 and comes from an Austrian aristocratic family, from whom we were able to purchase it. Its sensationally large and even corals and particularly elegant shape make it a rare and valuable collector's item.
The brooch is part of a demi-parure with matching earrings and necklace under the item numbers 202512954 and 202512953.
Dimensions of the brooch: 5.4 x 3.2 cm.
Diameter of the coral boutons: ca. 2.0 cm.
Diameter of the rose-cut diamonds: ca. 1.4 mm, total ca. 0.1 ct.
Weight: 30.9 grams.
